Privacy
Last Word does not require accounts. We use the name you choose and a temporary browser identifier to keep your seat when you refresh.
Game content
Room state, names, and story lines are kept in the game server’s memory while a game is active. They are not stored in a Last Word database. Restarting the server ends active rooms.
Your browser may save your chosen name, local story library, and writer profile in local storage. You can clear these in your browser settings.
Analytics
When the operator has configured Google Analytics 4, the game may collect privacy-limited usage data: that you visited, approximate region, device and browser type, which game screens you reached, and whether you created, joined, started, or finished a room. We do not send player names, story text, room codes, Saboteur words, report contents, or IP addresses to Analytics.
Analytics is off unless a production Measurement ID is configured. You can disable it here before playing — this page does not load Analytics, and the game will not load it if the switch below is off.
Reports
When you submit an in-game report, we send its category, description, time, temporary reporter identifier, and current room code (if any) to the server’s moderation log. If the operator configures a private moderation webhook, the report is also forwarded there. Do not put sensitive personal information in a report.
Infrastructure
The service host may collect ordinary technical request logs such as IP address, browser information, and timestamps to operate and secure the service. This policy should be updated with the chosen host’s specific retention terms before public launch.
